Servuce Disconnect Request Letter

[Dreams]

Duration: 100 min. approx. Trailer

is a pity that this film has not gotten me hooked, generating empathy. Where is the error? Definitely not in the precarious technical, I think all the movies we like we understand that not always a good impact movie goes along the money that is invested. Is the script issue? Maybe ...

Why is a shame? Personally I think it is because a film is honest, sincere, rough, arid, brutal, not disingenuous, eager, courageous, hopeful, a film with a budget very, very low, with a huge amount of actors improvised heroism. As has the same director: a matter of taking an old film camera (for something more like the 35mm is considered a chemical weapon and is prohibited), an AK47 and take to the chaotic streets of Baghdad (just two years after U.S. invasion ) to roll with the technical team improvised and the fate of the acting cast, with the pressure to use the few hours of daylight and the constant fear that at any time be abducted and tortured both by insurgents and by the U.S. military, or, be within reach of spontaneous explosion of a bomb. Actors died before, during and after the film.

So ... is the risk of their own security, Iraqis in Iraq with the sole purpose of making a film about the reality of making a film there Iraqis and the world. Something tells me I have much love for what they do. As it says in the credits: This film is dedicated to the victims of war, dictatorship and global terror, especially the Iraqi people.

Dreams, man adapts to life that "he lived" and fight for their dreams, trying to keep a more stable and hostile environment is looking to be happy. So do our three main characters: Ahlaam, a woman who despite the limitations in their country towards women get ahead academically, intelligent, modest next to marry a nice guy, they both respect and love and dream have 500 children and live happily ever after. Mehdi a guy who did much research base graduating as a doctor and yet you feel your dream is at risk because the family's past (a common parent) can lead to problems frustrating job and join the army, and finally Ali, a character who steals the limelight from his cousin and becomes the principal, both military men, his cousin curses the army and wants to drop off its unjust country (besides being obsessed with his hair disease), Ali is milder and believes that doing the right thing to serve his country. The starting point and core of this film is the bombardment suffered by the psychiatric center where these three characters intersect their lives (each is there for different reasons), and then what we see is the before: nearly a slow flashback 50 min. and then a second part that contains more flashbacks but has more rhythm and tells the end of each.

pace More ... yeah, maybe that's the biggest shortcoming because it can be tragic, poignant, but the pace and abuse of the cast in black are a drag. Other than that ... the poor production of which he spoke at first I think is a plus, because it shows Baghdad as he was at the time, dirty, chaotic, dictatorial and unjust.

Some say that at last is the testimony came from the other side, Americans no handlers or directors of other nationalities, scholars who seek to expose and give face to the pain of others. Here the pain is more personal ... and it really is a shame that he could not reflect that.

Although in 2005 and U.S. intervention was regarded as illegitimate, illegal, even today (And less turbulent, but still ...) is a mine of confusion and violence. Subject that is served by a Buried ... in other words, a subject still in force.

Do I recommend? Not unless you are interested in a version of so many there and imagine, the daily stream of Iraqis.
