Trailer

Second British zombie movie produced by Hammer, just two years after The Earth Dies Screaming and a very different plane. While the first product exploits the zombie from the perspective of Science Fiction (for others, interplanetary) it refers to the primary source of zombie, voodoo.

The plot centers on Dr. Sir Forbes, Professor gentleman who left London to travel to one of the British provinces and assist her in better former student, now Dr. Peter Tompson independent. The problem facing Peter is that people are dying suddenly lose their appetite and left to die, responses can be found through an autopsy, he thinks, but the conservative community are not permitted, so decides to leave him handcuffed decisions to Dr. Forbes. A man more determined and with a personality that commands greater respect. Well, together they undertake an investigation that will yield a dark truth that involves the powerful landowner in the village: voodoo and zombies. A truth which unfortunately involve the touch as Peter's wife and daughter of Forbes.

A pretty decent film, and I think it is the second color that is the subject zombie (the first: The incredibly strange creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies ) And a commendable (not shown in what may be "tacky" as if that first). The music starts to play a greater role exalting these key scenes and zombies, unlike films that had been done so far (not counting that of T have incredibly strange creatures ... where beasts seem to) have the image now know, that is, decaying corpses. Previously seemed only normal humans and mesmerized.

Decent, with a fairly loose plot (not really important) and lack of action, but its linear rate and weight bearing on the factor "investigation of the case" is not so bad. Oh, I forget, another difference to the above: it is the first film that exceeds the time format than its predecessors, the first 1 hour or so (not counting that of The incredibly strange creatures ... is not found for but I checked their file ...).

Preferably if you have not seen not read on:

Some it similar to I Walked with a Zombie , I think the biggest similarity is with White Zombie, both are in between the voodoo (which here too) and both stand on their zombified zombies a beautiful woman and both Love plays a fundamental role (these two elements do not exist here.) So only match in voodoo? No. The plague of zombies, what capitalist pandemic, aims mainly black these living corpses (like White Zombie ) ... in fact ... except for the voodoo do not know why so many sources link it to I Walked ...

Another point to be discussed, it is nice to see the similarities between the girls in this movie, and Alice Silvya girls Dracula, Mina Harker and Lucy respectively. I mean for their friendship, as found both in scenes (one is going to visit the other), and as fall: first Lucy / Alice and then Silvy / Mina to which, already knowing what happens, try to save.

Finally ... at first commented that the plot was weak and uninteresting, why? In my opinion it is because there is no real theme attraction to watch as the characters try to discover what we already know, because the zombie situation really did not concern them, we are not facing a guy obsessed with the love of a young woman with a vengeance , scientific aspirations believe God or serve their country in times of war ... no ... it is simply a landowner who has been profiting from the mines exploding zombie labor.

on the end ... we had already seen before but still ... not always.

Recommended "? I'm not attracted enough to recommend it so in my opinion is only suggested if you want to accompany me on this journey .... zombie or do not care "boring", perhaps, and find it a classic. And I repeat, not that I'm wrong but ... just be very indifferent.

If they want to download I suggest this link.
